John Rockafellow started the business in 1972 when he purchased a Chevron gas station, right at the corner of Stokes Street and South Bascom, where there now exists a small shopping center. In 1992 John moved his business right across the street to where it remains to this day. His son, Mike, worked at his service station on and off during the 80s, to later return in 1992 to work full time. These days John and Mike share responsibility in the day to day operations of the business. Both John and Mike currently hold Smog Licenses, and hold multiple ASE certifications. They both split their time betweening running the business, and working on vehicles.
John has a long history in the automotive field. He started working in the oil industry after graduating High School and spending some time working in Yosemite. During his time working in the oil industry, John was drafted for the Vietnam war, and spent two years overseas. Shortly before John decided to start his own business, he was a retail representative for over 40 service stations in his territory.

mike Mike Rockafellow worked for his father in the service station during the 80s, before enlisting in the Navy. Mike spent four years in the Navy working on an Aircraft Carrier as a Power Plant Mechanic. Upon returning home from multiple Pacific tours, Mike returned to the service station to work full time.
